I haven't done community service since high school...when it was required for graduation.

And here I am, having to do it again.

I love how community service is a requirement for school, or a punishment for something you've done.  Do they really think they're fostering a strong sense of giving and community when they do that?  I mean, it's like they were thinking "boy, what can we use as a punishment?"  "Oh, I don't know, maybe we should make them do something that we've already been encouraging them to do, like community service.  That won't make them hate community service."

I mean, isn't another name for this "volunteer work"?  Where's the volunteering?  I don't see any volunteering from my part.  So maybe this is more like slave labor.  Oh wait, yea, I think it is.  Work without compensation, that is. 

Oh no no, I volunteer.  I volunteer to have my brains blown out by a magnum so I won't have to do this shit.
